It is called the "green gold of Calabria" and is considered a wealth for the different uses that can be made. Bergamot is the essence of the South, its products are made mostly from essential oil, from the infusion of its skins, from the juice and pulp. The fruit itself is not normally offered for retail sale, but it is mainly used for its transformation. In fact, all derivatives have particular value, from sweet to savory production to get to the oldest and most prestigious relating to the cosmetic industry.

The essence of bergamot is in fact the main ingredient of classic cologne and many other perfumery products. Thanks to its intense perfume it is also used in the production of soaps as its essential oil is able to blend in total harmony with the other oils offering a feeling of freshness.. The very bitter juice is also used for therapeutic purposes for its ability to lower cholesterol and for its draining properties.
